It was 1 week before the wedding. Hayley and I were going to go shopping for Zac's wedding gift today. I looked at the clock. The red digits indicated that it was 9:10am. I pulled my purple and black covers off to the side and sat up on the side of the bed. I suddenly felt a wave a nausea come over me and I ran to the bathroom.
Hayley rushed in the bathroom and held my hair as I got sick. I got up and rinsed out my mouth with listerine.
Hayley stared at me with shock for a second. "Are you ok?" She brushed the hair out of my face.
"Y-yeah. I think so." I paused. I have gotten sick yesterday morning and the morning before and felt better a half an hour later. "The flu bug must be going around." I said, brushing it off.
Hayley looked at me warily for a minute. "Ok.. We'll leave in 15 minutes to go to Nashville. There will be a lot more places to shop there." she said before she walked out of the room.
I quickly brushed my teeth and straightened my hair. I decided on blue eyeliner and mascara for today and put on my bright blue skinny jeans and TAI shirt.
I walked into the living room where Hayley was grabbing her keys. "Are you sure your okay?" she asked concerned.
I gave her a look. "I'm fine Hayles, really." I huffed.
She didn't say another word as we climbed into her volvo and went to go pick up Bekah and Sarah and Beth.
Once they got in the car we drove onto the highway to go to Nashville. Hayley turned on the radio and we were jamming out to Jimmy Eat World.
"Paija, when are we going to see our bridesmaids dresses?" Sarah asked excitedly.
I smiled. "Soon. You'll be able to try them on tomorrow." I had been working my butt off finishing my dress and theirs.
The bridesmaid dresses were a charcoal gray with a black lace trim on the bodice.
"aww. I want to see them now!" she whined.
"Then I guess you will be sadly disappointed." I snickered. She stuck her tongue out at me.
My stomach growled. I was really craving french fries...and ice cream.
"Can we stop someplace to eat before we go shopping?" I pleaded.
Hayley laughed. "Ok. Where do you girls want to go?"
"Johnny Rockets." I answered quickly. The girls agreed.
After grabbing our burgers, fries, and shakes, we went off to the bridal stores.
I ended up finding antique jewelry to go with my dress and a netted veil with flowers. It was perfect.
"Paij'!! you gotta look at these." Hayley squealed. She showed me the cutest black peep-toe heels with a diamond studded bow.
"I love those. They will go perfect with your dresses." I smiled.
A couple hours later, I was satisfied that I had gotten Zac's custom made wedding gift and the accessories for my wedding party. On the drive home I asked if we could stop by Dairy Queen. For some reason I was really hungry.
We dropped off Bekah, Sarah, and Beth at their apartments and headed home.
"Today was so much fun." Hayley sighed.
"Yeah." I agreed. I closed my eyes and listened to the radio.
"Tired?" she asked softly. I nodded. She had a worried look on her face. She was trying to hide it from me.
"So, the reps for the Twilight movie called. We might have a chance to record two songs for the soundtrack." She said happily, trying to change the subject.
I opened my eyes. "Really??!" I said happily. I was obsessed with the twilight series.
"Yep. We will be recording them when you get back from your honeymoon." She smiled.
20 minutes later, we pulled up to our apartment complex, and I rushed to the door. I had to pee really bad.
Once I got out, I went and sat on the couch. For a moment I just felt like crying. I just didn't know what was going on.
Hayley sat down next to me. "Are you sure your okay Paija?" she asked, with a worried look on her face.
"I don't know." I sighed. I blinked away the moisture forming in my eyes. "I'm getting sick every morning, I'm eating more, I need to go pee really bad all the time, stomach cramps." I started to cry. "I'm getting married in a week! I can't be sick."
Hayley didn't say anything. She furrowed her eyebrows. "What are you thinking?" I asked softly, studying her face.
"Vegas." That was all she said.
"Oh. oh." Vegas. Zac and I's "wedding night". Everything added up.
"Are you late?" Hayley finally spoke up.
I counted back the weeks. I was late. 7 days late to be exact. I nodded. More tears streamed down my cheeks.
"I need to call my mom. She will know what to do. But first, we need to get a pregnancy test." She muttered softly, texting away on her phone.
She got up and grabbed her keys. "I'll be back. I'm going to the store. Want anything?"
"Ice cream." I smiled weakily.
So? what do you guys think? It's kinda a filler chapter. I don't really like. Comment and buzz with your opinions!
